Is unreasonable to have a phobia of walking on ice/snow? My knee occasionally pops out. I have had two knee surgeries before 25. One caused by a fall caused by slipping on ice. I am 29 now and in the winter my phobia is horrible especially after a winter storm. I walk like a little old lady on or around ice and snow. I should let it be known I live in central Ohio.

But I’m not for sure. Please help =)

Not just a fear… a serious phobia, where the person physically cannot be around cats. Please don’t say they just need to be exposed to them- that is not the solution.

I even have a trusted therapist of long-standing and find it difficult (VERY) to discuss my phobias. And they’re things that affect me on like a daily basis. They make me feel really stupid and weak… I’m on meds, which help…
Anyone else have this problem?
Can anyone recommend a good phobia book or tape or whatever that wouldn’t scare me too much? Thanks for any info at all.
