The reason I’m mad asked:
Hi there, I have phobia to lizards, I dislike reptiles like a lot of people but whenever I see a lizard I feel I’m going to die. This doesn’t sound like a problem but whenever I walk on grass or go to the park I am constantly scared of finding one and they live everywhere!, It’s getting so bad I actually fainted last time I saw one, I’m tired of this, how and where do I treat my phobia?.

Have some for dinner
get a pet dragon it will protect u
a few good names are
Erin
Raq
Shift
Leo
Leroy if you dont like these names think of your own
Get one for a pet, you will discover after a while that they are scared of you instead of the other way around.
Avoidance of going where they might be has always worked for me.
spk to ashwani kumar contect no 09873733792 you will get the answer
i would get a lizard stuffed animal. then look at pics of lizards. then watch a documentary on lizards. then go to a zoo or something where you can see them live. tell yourself that they arent really gonna do anything to you. then maybe go somewhere where you can touch one. slowly ween yourslef away from being scared…
You need to kill one by ripping its head off with your teeth and then eat the heart, that way you will have taken the lizards spirit.
Do some research and it will ease your mind to find that most of the small lizards you’re going to find in the park are completely harmless. The most dangerous lizards are the great big ones, and you’re not going to meet up with any of those. We have a small green anole lizard, and he’s just the cutest thing. Can’t really pet him, but when we hold him in our hands, he relaxes and stretches out and enjoys the body heat from our hands, and usually goes to sleep!
I know exactly how you feel. I used to have a phobia about SPIDERS. I was TERRIFIED of them. I still don’t like spiders, however, I am no longer terrified of them. I got over my fear of spiders using EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or Emotional Tapping.
Just so you know, a phobia is just INTENSE FEAR. Fear is just an emotion. Emotions are ENERGIES IN MOTION in our bodies. When the fear becomes too intense we do not want to feel it, so it gets blocked in the body.
Every time you don’t allow yourself or you aren’t allowed to fully experience an emotion, to feel it, and to move through it, the energy of that emotion becomes stopped and blocked in your body. It remains blocked until you go back and re-experience that emotion. Then the energetic block is freed and cleared. Virtually all of our physical ailments come from energetic blocks in our bodies, energetic patterns that are connected to our emotional patterns
In EFT you apply gentle acupressure tapping to specific body points to release blocked emotions. EFT is easy to learn (you can learn the basics in 15-30 minutes). You can use EFT anytime, anywhere for any emotional or physical issue. One basic round of EFT takes about one minute to complete. EFT works quickly and is virtually painless. I literally got over my fear of spiders in ONE twenty minute session of EFT tapping after just reading the EFT Instructional manual without any feelings of fear.
Please download the FREE EFT Instructional manual from the EFT website (www.emofree.com).
I learned how to use EFT last year and now use it everyday. EFT really works.
Or, you could also find a psychologist who specializes in phobias and spend about a month of intensive phobia desensitizing therapy.
i asked the same question!…i think it was too long for ppl to read …anyways…i share ur symptoms to quite a certain degree
Phobias, and specific phobia in particular, are some of the easiest difficulties to treat–IF you find the right psychologist it can take as little as 3 hours. Beware though, there’s a lot of quackery out there (i.e., you don’t need to go back to your childhood memories, you don’t need to buy the latest self-help book or product, etc.). What you want is a “cognitive-behavioral” practitioner who is going to use an “empirically supported treatment.” Think buzz words. Even so, recognize that since those terms have become so popular and that type of treatment is so superior to others, pretty much most “therapists” are going to say they do that/use that whether they do or not. As a result, you should know what to expect. All effective therapies for phobia (and most anxiety disorders) invovle some form of exposure. That can be daunting, but it shouldn’t be–that’s why you want a licensed PSYCHOLOGIST performing the therapy. Ideally, the exposure is done gradually–very slowly over the course of treatment and at your pace. No one should surprise you, startle you, etc. The idea is to allow you and your body to learn to experience some manageable amounts of fear and learn to handle it. Sounds simple, right? It’s not. If having someone force you to be around what you’re afraid of or saying “there’s nothing to be afraid of” would have worked, it would have worked by the 50th or 1000th time you’ve heard that–that’s why you want to see a psychologist who specializes in anxiety disorders (phobias in particular). Where to find one? Look no further than your closest university. The best kept secret about mental health is that the experts are hiding out in universities doing research and developing the cutting edge treatments. Either way, your local psychology department should be able to point you in the right direction.
