Psychologists and psychiatrists are the professions that study phobias, I don’t think there is any other term to describe a person who specialises in the field.
Well it comes under Psychology – not psychiatry.
Phobias can be “cured” by therapy – many of them aren’t too difficult to treat. I’ve resolved phobias for two people myself – with just a basic psychology qualification. (friends)
Depends on the phobia – or more importantly how the phobia developed.
